Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Buvia is built by Madina Accounting Inc. We designed it so tracking your money doesn't cost you your privacy. This page explains, in plain words, what information the app collects, how it's used, and the control you keep over it.
Information we collect
When you create a Buvia account we collect your name, email address and basic profile details. When you use the app, we store the financial information you provide: transactions you enter manually or import from a CSV, accounts, budgets, savings goals and categories. If you scan a receipt, we process the image to read the merchant, amount and date. If you connect Gmail sync, we read only the emails that look like purchase receipts or confirmations — and never send email on your behalf.
How we use your information
Your data is used to run the app for you: showing your balances and budgets, spotting recurring charges and unusual spending, and powering the AI assistant's answers about your own money. We don't sell your personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where your data lives
Your records are stored securely in the cloud and are associated with your account. Each user's data is kept private to that account — other users can never see it. Receipt images are stored only so you can look back at them later, and you can delete any transaction, or your entire account, at any time.
AI processing
Some features use AI to work for you: reading receipts, suggesting categories, and answering questions in the assistant. These systems process your data only to produce the result you asked for, and that data is never used to train public models.
Your choices
You can export your data at any time from Settings, disconnect Gmail sync whenever you like, or request full account deletion. Deleting your account removes your transactions, budgets, goals and personal details from our systems.
